On Instagram<\/strong><\/a>, Djamila Ribeiro spoke about the social action carried out on Wednesday, July 17:<\/p>\n

“Today, on Forest Protection Day, the S\u00e3o Paulo Academy of Letters promoted a beautiful tree-planting event at Martin Luther King Park. Each academic planted a tree in honor of the patron of their chair. I planted a cambuci tree in honor of Caetano de Campos, a Brazilian doctor and educator, and the patron of chair 28.<\/em><\/p>\n

This important initiative, conceived by Leandro Karnal (@leandro_karnal<\/a>) and carried forward by Renato Nalini (@renato_nalini<\/a>), became a wonderful movement for the environment and remembrance. By planting trees, we also plant knowledge about important figures in our country’s history.<\/em><\/p>\n

Congratulations to the S\u00e3o Paulo Academy of Letters (@academiapaulistadeletras<\/a>) for this essential social action!<\/em><\/p>\n

P.S.: They say that in life we should write a book, have a child, and plant a tree. Well, mission accomplished haha.”<\/em><\/p>\n
