End of the Semester at NYU<\/strong><\/p>\n This week, Djamila Ribeiro celebrated the conclusion of her time as a visiting professor at the Andr\u00e9s Bello Chair at New York University (NYU). On her Instagram profile, the Brazilian philosopher highlighted the significance of the experience, marking her debut as a faculty member at a U.S. university and her first time living abroad.<\/p>\n “I still need to grade the papers, but the semester has come to an end. It was a remarkable and transformative experience,” she wrote.<\/p>\n Spotlight on Feminisms of the Global South<\/strong><\/p>\n Teaching Feminisms of the Global South<\/em>, Djamila introduced authors unfamiliar to most of her students. She emphasized the quality of their work: “I was deeply moved by the students’ feedback on the course and thrilled with their paper presentations. It felt wonderful to know I made a difference in the academic journey of many. What an incredible feeling!” she shared.<\/p>\n The course schedule also featured guest speakers who contributed to the topics discussed in the class.<\/p>\n “I would like to especially thank Ibram X.
