After a semester as a guest professor at NYU, Djamila Ribeiro spent New Year’s Eve in New York with her family.<\/p>\n

“May this be a year in which we let go of what no longer serves us, whether cycles, places, or people. May we have the courage and faith to keep changing what needs to be changed. May we free ourselves from the shackles of impositions. May we become who we came here to be,” wrote the Brazilian philosopher on her Instagram profile.<\/p>\n
