On September 12, the Feminismos Plurais<\/em> venue in S\u00e3o Paulo hosted the launch of the Brazil-France Authorship Movement (Movimento Autoral Brasil-Fran\u00e7a)<\/strong>, bringing together the public, diplomats, artists, and writers for a celebration of literature as a tool for cultural cooperation. Professor Djamila Ribeiro<\/strong> shared the main panel with Alexandra Mias<\/strong>, Consul General of France in S\u00e3o Paulo, in a conversation that highlighted writing as a bridge between voices and territories.<\/p>\n

With free admission, Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpretation, and a welcoming atmosphere, the event gathered guests in the heart of Moema to officially kick off an initiative that seeks to strengthen the voice of authors through binational literary action. Representing the French Embassy, Marion Loire<\/strong> emphasized the importance of this partnership in valuing diverse ideas and experiences.<\/p>\n

One of the evening’s highlights was the speech by Maria Carolina Casati<\/strong>, curator of the project\u2019s book club, who presented the club as a key pillar of the movement. It will serve as an ongoing space for critical reading, aiming to broaden repertoires and elevate historically silenced narratives.<\/p>\n

The night also featured a musical performance by the duo Beatriz Fran\u00e7a and Mariana Rodrigues<\/strong>. Guests were welcomed with special treats and gifted exclusive eco-bags<\/strong> created especially for the occasion.<\/p>\n
