Djamila Ribeiro is a public intellectual. The author of books that have sold more than one million copies, she is a weekly columnist for Folha de S. Paulo and a book editor. She has taught at PUC-SP and New York University and is currently at MIT. She coordinates the Feminismos Plurais initiative and has received dozens of national and international awards throughout her career.
